  1. Watson's inability to adjust mid-game infuriates me, but he's hardly the only problem. Cotton and Saunders are worse. Saunders being mentioned as a problem is absolutely ridiculous! He has been key in the development of one of the best secondaries in the country. He is probably going to be a leading candidate to replace Carl if/when he moves on. Haha and that's why I shouldn't post at 3 in the morning. I meant to say Gilmore.
  2. They could have division 20 talent and they'd still put up a fight. That's what happens in rivalry games, unfortunately.
  3. your post is exactly the problem. its all speculation. i see a guy giving 100% on the field, injured wing and all. could care less about what the he said she said off of it is-because its plain as day nothing right now. f'ing rumor mongers. I love what he's brought to Nebraska. I gained even more respect for him after he played the second half of the A&M game. What I said is that you have to question his character if the rumors turn out to be true.
  4. I'll buy the painting for $25 and I'll sell it to you for $10. Throw in the beer, though. I'm only 20 after all. But don't be fooled; I have the bargaining skills of a 50 year old salesman.
  5. How much are you asking? I'm a college student myself, so I know what you mean when you say you need the money.
  6. I expect us to come out in the I and quickly score a touchdown. The next offensive possession, we'll start zone-reading the crap outta them. On third and 1 we'll throw an incomplete pass and the Alex Henery show will begin.

  8. 1) It's Colorado. Losing to them on our way out of the Big 12 would suck. They suck. Their state sucks. I hate the Buffs. 2) Cody Green is undefeated as a starter! Nobody thinks he's going to play well. This is the perfect opportunity to finally put together a good game. 3) Niles Paul's injury. He's one of my favorite players on the team, and I truly think he'll be missed, but whenever a game-changer (Niles is truly a game-changer, for better or worse) goes down, somebody usually steps up. I'm thinking Cooper or Enunwa has a breakout game. Maybe they'll throw the ball to McNeil, too. 4) Prediction: 20 to 3.
  9. There's this receiver named Mike McNeil. Rumor has it he can actually catch the football. We also have Cooper and Enunwa, two guys who have all the talent in the world but haven't gotten an opportunity to showcase it just yet. Obviously our receivers can't just replace Niles Paul, but if two or three of them make a concerted effort to drop 2 or 3 passes then you'll hardly notice a difference.
  10. People are hardly treating him like sh#t. That's reserved for Niles Paul and Shawn Watson, Nebraska's two favorite scapegoats. (I'm kidding, but sadly it's true.) Everyone agrees that Martinez is a hell of a talent. He's our best player and he's still a huge work in progress. But at some point, you have to question if the drama he brings to the team is worth it. Right now it is, especially since there's no source to back up these rumors. However, if he's truly quit the team for a second time, then you have to question his character, or at least those close to him (his father?).
  11. Would there even be drama surrounding Taylor and his status with the team had we won? I personally gained respect for him after watching him play with a gimpy ankle in the second half. Until he leaves, I'll fully support him and dismiss these rumors.
  12. I think Bo owes us an explanation; obviously we're not going to get one. It appears Taylor (or if you ask some, his father) has problems, though. Threatening to quit once yet alone twice is pretty shady. What's the deal? Does he not like the university? Is he not a fan of Bo? Can he not take criticism? Is his father an a-hole? I want answers! I'd like to think this entire situation is media-driven, but when there's smoke there's usually fire. There have also been a couple of questionable comments by teammates to suggest he's not well-liked, which goes back to his ego or inability/refusal to commit to the team. Either way, I expect the situation to be resolved this summer. He's definitely on his last strike.
  13. Cody just needs to gain some confidence. There's a good chance he won't ever be the type of player we envisioned when he first committed to Nebraska, but he's a lot better than he's shown thus far. The Nebraska coaching staff should definitely be criticized for Green's lack of development and low self-confidence. It's almost like they put him in no-win situations. Put him in at the 5 yard line. Pull him after one mistake. Run a bunch of plays designed for a mobile, cat-like quarterback instead of catering to his strengths. I could go on and on.
