  1. Kickers came out before the main team... just like they always do so far as I can recall (they did last year in Wiscy and at home for Ohio State I believe). I think it was with about 5mins left of halftime. TBDBITL certainly lived up to its name, but did seem like an unusually long performance since they performed what appeared to be a full halftime set + script Ohio (which is impressive but takes a lot of time since it's so drawn out). Maher did move when one of the husker coaches moved the balls in closer so they stayed out of the way of the band, but of course since Ohio loves their band as much or more than their football, the fans certainly expressed their disdain everytime he was out to kick fgs (I don't think they knew he was doing kickoffs). It did have me wishing the kicking crew had waited along the sideline, yet I felt the band gave no leeway to football warmup routines.

  2. I hope the Husker fans are generally cordial and kind to the visiting Badger fans. I was in Madison and while not impressed by their hospitality, only their student were significantly hostile. The rest were generally distant/semi-respectful and not deserving of any hostility from our end. Unfortunately I won't be at the game to show respect to the Badgers and cheer on our Huskers, but I do hope the Nebraska fanbase welcomes Wisconsin fans and shows them what respectable fans really are.

  3. I'm shocked *SHOCKED*, I tell you, that no one has brought up Tastee Inn yet.

I wouldn't mind Tastee if they would maybe clean the place up, heck maybe even put the drive through on the correct side. Honest Abe's has onion rings that are eerily similar to Tastee's onion chips and that was really the only reason I ever risked going to Tastee.

I can't believe anyone eats food from that place. It looks hellish when you drive by. No way would I voluntarily go in there for food.

Certainly can't deny the place is in poor shape and would make many run-down shacks look good, but their Tastee burgers and onion chips and dip are well worth the heart clogging that ensues. Last I knew they are always closed Mondays, but that shouldn't be an issue for a weekend trip.

I try to make it there at least once every year or two when I'm back in town, and I've got a relative that requests frozen shipments whenever family visits them in Ohio.

I also suggest a Nebraska fast food stop at Runza. Even if you dislike their namesake runza, their burgers are probably the best I've had from a drive-through. And order some Frings (Fries+1-2 onion rings) as they are quite good as well.

  4. I'm gonna give you guys my dark horse, sleeper, money making heisman! TAYLOR friggin MARTINEZ!!! Don't laugh!!! I can see this being his year. I am officially picking TM to win it baby! Mark this thread and post number so when he wins it, you all can suck my......!!!!!!!!

    +1

If he keeps the passing game going once the conference schedule hits and shows some occasional Freshman year running, we won't need the Kool-Aid for this anymore.

However I'd prefer to see Burkhead heal up and steamroll his way into the top3 for Heisman.

  5. Unfortunately, we learned even the TV announcers noticed Michigan was keying on Thorell when they needed new downs.

We learned the team needs to get ready for Iowa and find a way to get pumped. Iowa will come out ready - question is will we be able to keep our heads in the game if Iowa starts strong.

  6. Congrats Michigan, they played a good game and definitely earned their win.

Just wish we had brought our A or B game to make it a battle in the second half. Can't keep a D on the field for 2/3 of the game and expect the line to hold up.
