The OP is EXACTLY right. But in NU’s case, Kevin Wilson (Indiana HC) screwed us by going public. Then our own media jumped on the hysteria bandwagon trying to create a huge controversy—instead of getting their facts straight and standing behind the NU program. It’s sad to see our own OWH tearing down our program. I can understand something like this from the media-wannabe psueudo hacks at Bleacher Reporter.

i myself like colin a little more than jim. i like rome, but colin i find more amusing.

the question is, who do you like/hate more and why? be honest and give details.

as a fan of husker football, i like to get away from football a little. i check out the local basketball teams and see how the local boys are doing. then when spring comes along, i get the big red fever all over again.

the question is, what do you do in the off season? stories, comments, hobbies, post it and see if we can come up with some good ones. i coach basketball and keep up with the NU and creighton teams.(boring) how do you spend the football "off season"?

....but i have read on this board and others that some fans are predicting that taylor martinez is the future of NU football for the next couple of years. in my opinion, i just dont see it. if anyone listens to colin cowherd, its called the "eyeball" test. at first, when no teams knew about him, he was unstoppable. then, teams got film on him. then, brick wall. i will just say this. he cannot juke anyone, he cannot run anyone over, he goes down on first contact, he is terrible in the pocket, he zeros in on the number one reciever and if he isnt open he panics and makes terrible descions. the point i am trying to make is that he is not a QB. he is just an athlete playing QB that happens to be a fast sprinter. the one factor that he lacks very much is a leader. a player cannot learn this, cannot be taught this, and if a player does not have this at the QB position, that team is in trouble. NU may be in trouble if one of the new guys dont earn the starting role at QB this coming season. just my opinion. anyone agree or disagree?

just remember fans, a good, complete QB has 3 things. the ability to run, pass and lead. the 3 QB's that NU currently had were only good at one of the 3 skill sets needed to be successful. taylor is only fast. not even a good runner. have you ever seen him juke anybody? no. he falls on first contact and seems afraid to get hit. he is an average passer at best and is not a leader. cody cannot pass either and fumbles, but he is a power runner. just slow at this level. he is a good leader, the one thing he possesses. lee, lost cause. sorry zac, you were billys boy. he could pass but could not run. he could be a leader but didnt get the chance this year. NU needs a QB before a OC.

When you consider the caliber of defenses NU played in 2009 vs. 2010, folks, that's the same offense. The offense Husker coaches assured Nebraska fans would never see again.

just my opinion. it doesnt matter what "style" NU runs. as long as they are GREAT at it. not good, GREAT. and keep it as the core of the offense. this trying to be multiple garbage has failed. Bo needs to find out what his boys on offense are very good at, on a consistent basis, and bridge off of that. NU this year did not excel at running or passing this year vs top teams. crappy teams dont count. that is where this team needs to start. it needs a core, an identity on offense. until then, the blame game will continue.

Nebraska is not "sooooo" close to being a title contender so kick that out of your head, there is still a alot of work to do. We were suppose to be title contenders this year, see what happened? this thread is just a noob trying to get attention. ignore it. bo is not gonna get fired and he is the right man for the job.

im gonna be honest, im just glad NU is still in this game. after all the off time for washington to prep. after for not wanting to be in the bowl. to be down 3, its a plus. NU could be down by a lot more if the D quit. the blackshirts came to play, no doubt. no blowout, as now there is film and teams have obiously found a weakness in our O line. if a team has the players, that team can expose us. NU can still win. as long as the offense can adjust, NU can win.

Did I mention a word about classless fan bases? I believe I was talking only about over-sensitive fans who start random message board topics about radio shows that don't agree with their opinions and hurt their feelings. No offense but read my post and stay on topic. I don't care about the class part and how other fans treat other bases. I don't think Nebraska is any better or any worse than anywhere else in that regard. I do care about fans who lack perspective and take anything said about the program or it's players or coaches personally like it was said about their mom. Like a certain morning radio show for instance. I still don't know what rumors they have started as Skull n bones said. I guess I don't like it that he is starting rumors about a morning radio show starting rumors.

You can't sit there and tell me you wrote that entire post and didn't expect one person to disagree with you . You obviously expected a little backlash, so I'm not sure why you're so defensive about it.

 

Besides, if you look at the OP, I don't see any type of oversensitivity. I see a guy who just wanted to start a topic about what some guys on a radio show said. If there weren't posters who didn't start topics on the internet about something they heard on t.v., the radio, read the newspapers, etc., then we wouldn't really have much to talk about would we? Everybody has an opinion here whether it's right or wrong.

your right. i wasnt trying to start any feuds. i didnt think i was complaining that bad either. schiks slams on bo just to stir up the audience is getting repeative, thats all. im not even all that mad about it, really. i just want new material from the show from time to time. that was my main point. sorry to all who took it the wrong way. this guys right, i was just stirring up a subject that i would think most people on this message board would have in common. in my opinion, the moring and afternoon radio shows are a good common ground for us NU fans. also, i did say that i think they are funny at times, like pelini martini. the first time i heard it i couldnt stop laughing! now that was a great bit!

hi everyone. my first post on this website. asking a media question here. is there anyone else who listens to morning A.M. radio getting tired of schick n nick(mainly schick) always starting rumors and flamin topics about bo? i sure am. thank god for iowa and thier troubles. maybe they can flame them up a little. i know its a boring time for sports guy but i think schick sometimes is just a hater. is it just me or do others feel the same? they are funny at times but i think sometimes they are hurtful. opinions?
