  1. Your statement is a fallacy from strawman, mark. He never stated where the kids came from. Nickel states: "Dashon Hunt only rated his visit a '9.' IMO, anyone who rates their visit less than a 10 is not coming here." You are making wrong deductions and turning them into an argument that has nothing to do with the first argument.

  2. They are not getting what they want, therefore they are being punished. They want to play for Penn State with little or no noticeable sanctions in place, or what the rest of the country would consider a slap on the wrist. It's the entitlement in people that sucks the most.

From where they sit I can see how much it sucks. I would not stop being a Husker fan if it came out that Osborne enabled something horrific like Sandusky - I'd just stop respecting Osborne and his accomplishments. But I would hope (and I'm probably being obtuse here) that I would recognize that the punishments my school is getting today have nothing to do with the current coaches, players or Administration - it has everything to do with sending a message to anyone else who would even think about harboring scum like Sandusky in the future.

They're not punishing 2012 Penn State. They're warning Future College Football Programs.

You hit the nail right on the head.

  3. Achilles allows the tortoise a head start of 100 metres, for example. If we suppose that each racer starts running at some constant speed (one very fast and one very slow), then after some finite time, Achilles will have run 100 metres, bringing him to the tortoise's starting point. During this time, the tortoise has run a much shorter distance, say, 10 metres. It will then take Achilles some further time to run that distance, by which time the tortoise will have advanced farther; and then more time still to reach this third point, while the tortoise moves ahead. Thus, whenever Achilles reaches somewhere the tortoise has been, he still has farther to go. Therefore, because there are an infinite number of points Achilles must reach where the tortoise has already been, he can never overtake the tortoise

  4. The question I have is: Will this hurt Nebraska's strength of schedule, if Penn St. loses alot of players, and would it be worth it to even keep Penn St. in the Big 10, since it will take years, if not a decade or more for Penn St. to get back to a "OK" football team? I have a feeling that the penalties will also hurt Big 10 teams strength of schedule.

  5. I noticed from his film, he seems not to look at a receiver or pick a pre-determined route to throw to. I really like that. I notice alot of these young QB's coming into college ball staring down, thus giving away, a route. He seems to have a good internal clock in his head and he does not seem to try to prematurely leave the pocket. We will have to see how well he can transfer into college ball but as a high school player, he seems to be very good. I am excited for his future at NU. Welcome to the Husker family Johnny!

  6. I had no idea that there are other universities seals. That is really cool. Are they going to build a new track and field stadium or are they just putting in a new track?

Are they going to cover up the university seals that are on the stadium?

  7. apparently offered by Arkansas today

For some reason, Johnelle doesnt worry me as much as Bobby did...

I agree, With only a contract that extends to next season does not look good in the eyes of recruits, since they want a coach to be there when they get there. I don't believe Arky will keep Smith after this season. I really do not think Arky will be anything spectacular this year.

While reading Chancellor Perlman's interview with Shatel, Perlman states,• On frequently extending coaches' contracts: “That is almost inherent in the system we have. You owe an obligation to your coach, as long as he's your coach, to give him the tools he needs to do the job. And right now, one of those tools is a long-term contract. They can't recruit without it. That's the way it is. It's the price of doing business.”http://bigredtoday.com/article/20120511/BIGRED/705119810#shatel-perlman-s-a-school-leader-good-sport

  9. While reading the article on Urban Meyer, I came across a factoid in the article stated that Muschamp is 14 scholarships short of the maximum of 85. Due to the fact a team can only give 25 scholarships a year, can a team like Forida, who are 14 scholarships short of the max, give more scholarships since they are under the maximum?
