Would love to see him play his best ball of the year and knock off a few of the teams. Would also love to see the offense be effective in the 2nd half of each game. Gotta score early and often tomorrow against Indy. Make them play from behind. I don't think they have all year. Quote Link to comment
admo
I really like Dylan and he has shown so much potential and has played really well at a high level for a true freshmen QB. So the things that he could do better, I will give him a pass as a first year player. Having said that ..... Bruh, those short passes need to be out of your hand quicker. And more accurately. You got open guys in the flat a lot in every game (Fidone, Lloyd, or RJ & EJ).... but by the time you decide to throw it to them, they are almost covered and the passes are floaters. Need to read the space quicker (the field and coverage). When they are open, zip it to them and allow them to catch and run. Instead of a 5-10 yard play happening, it's 1-3 yards at most. Also need to step into throws more often. And it seems like every other pass to Fidone is around his ankles or slightly behind him. He doesn't have the knees for that. Get some better accuracy and put some mustard on those throws. And don't take a sack when there is a skill player standing alone in the flat looking at you as a safety valve. We all know he is open. A 3 yard pass play is better than back peddling in the pocket and getting sacked or throwing it away. Plus, if you escape the pocket by running around, that's when refs throw flags for holding. So yeah, a bit more accuracy, embrace positive yards, step into some throws, and put a little less air on the deep ball. Other than those few criticisms, DR is one heckuva player, so glad he is here, and the sky is the limit when it comes to how great he will become. 1 Quote Link to comment

Hooked on Huskers
Not surprised DR will be a transfer portal at the end of regular season. Like AMart path ..... 4 1 Quote Link to comment

DR is not a mobile QB, like a 2AM or many before him, were. He needs accessory guys doing their blocking jobs, receivers to get a lil bit open quickly, and a decent run game threat to be effective. Then you can engineer a successful drive. guys like 2AM had a third option- themselves. But that came at a cost too- injuries and turnovers 2 2 Quote Link to comment
BoSolich
i don't think he'd entertain the idea of leaving until after his sophomore year. most of the skill players should be back next year, and i assume we'll add at least a couple more. it would take some really bad coaching for the offense not to improve next year. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

Especially the part of him being a heck of a player and glad he's here. I saw a report saying that his ankle sprain happened in practice back in September and reaggravated it in the Illinois game. It's been affecting his footwork. The same report said he's doing a lot better this week, so I guess we will see. 1 Quote Link to comment
