Eric the Red
Player: David Harvey Hometown: Pomfret, MD Position: DE/TE Height: 6’4” Weight: 230 40 time: 5’1” Visit Date: none Scholarships offered: Nebraska Favorites: Nebraska Rankings/Stars: Rivals: NR/** Insiders: NR/** Assessing the talent: Not the fastest, not the strongest and not the tallest. Very little information out there on him. Had little or no attention as a prospect in Maryland. Hardly any stories completed on him. He is not ranked by any of the services. Not even the top 30 Maryland high school players or something like that. Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 80% He’ll probably commit because no one else has offered him. Basically he attended session two of the Huskers football camp this summer; he was offered and accepted about two weeks later. This is certainly one of those “work in progress” kids. Sometimes those are the best, other times they do nothing. The coaches saw "something" Current Status: Firm Commitment to NU Quote Link to comment
Benard
I didn't think billy got kids like this. I think I would rather get a guy like peterson who is instate over some maryland kid who doesn't sound like a lot. By the way I call 6'4 pretty tall. Quote Link to comment
AR Husker Fan
Eric never said he wasn't tall - he said he wasn't the tallest. Since it is not uncommon to see tight ends who are 6'5", 6'6" and 6'7", that's an accurate statement. Is it possible that this kid is being looked at for an offensive line position? Given his lack of speed, there's little likelihood he'll see time at tight end. But presumably he would have "quick feet" if he gains some weight and slides to tackle. Quote Link to comment

AR Husker Fan
Who said it wasn't? Again, Eric didn't say it wasn't tall - neither did I. Eric said "not the tallest", which is correct. Quote Link to comment

That's not what he meant. If thats the case why don't he put all the guys were going after aren't the fastest. I'm sure there is someone faster than someone were getting. You say he's not the tallest if he's 6'1 or maybe 2. You say he's not the fastest if he's a running back and runs 4.6. Get it?> Quote Link to comment
Redout
Either way he will be a project. Maybe pack the pounds on and be a DE or DT Quote Link to comment
