bshirt
I too don't have any answers but I know "something" is horribly wrong on both sides of the ball. The defense is incredibly inept. How many times did we stop them on 3rd down? For the whole game? "Once"???? That's simply to bizarre for me to comprehend. I just can't. Every one is smiling, laughing & buying each other beers because the happiest event imaginable happened tonight. Tmart had a bad game. The haters have never, ever felt better! Christmas!!! Nothing beats sh*ting on your own. For the life of me I can't imagine why Beck had Tmart throw the ball about 20 times in the 2nd & 3rd qtr. If that's his idea of a "run-first" offense then yeah, Tmart's not the guy. Bench him now and be done with it. Bring back the WCO or whatever.....it won't matter anyway. Well, the season isn't over yet. There's hope. A single thin & fragile ray. GBR!! Quote Link to comment
NEBRASKANHEAT
Yes, that's it. We're all happy Tmart stunk and we lost.. You got it big guy. Or, what happened is exactly what myself and others predicted would happen. Here, let me recap what I claimed in the other thread where you called me and others ignorant about the game. lets see, I talked about him fumbling - check I talked about him getting flustered in the pocket and taking sacks - check I even talked about him throwing an interception to a linebacker - check I claimed his best asset, his feet, wouldn't be nearly as effective against more athletic defenses - check I said he would make bad decisions in the zone read - check And, in the end, instead of manning up and admitting you were wrong. You make another ridiculous thread lashing out at others because what we said would happen, did happen. Quote Link to comment
Husker_x
I don't hate Tmart and before this weekend I wouldn't have even thought of bringing in somebody else. But. The problem for me is that he doesn't seem to have grown an ounce in the game. He still: can't read coverages, hold onto the football, throw the ball, scramble against teams that are not totally incompetent, or hit his wide open checkdowns. I'm sorry, but give me a steady, smart, safe QB who won't burn you or get into the NFL over the feast or famine nonsense we've endured for a year and a half. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Man, you have got this wrong. I don't think Beck called a good game, but I think a lot of weaknesses were exposed last night. If Taylor has that many weaknesses, it really limits what we can do on offense. We didn't even run the ball on Wisconsin that well to that point. I think it's either a poor scheme or gameplan that has led to that. Hopefully we'll see more Rexcat. If nothing else, I think it's clear that we really need to rely on that. Quote Link to comment

While I think Beck did not call a great game, I also think Husker_x has it exactly right. We may see Carnes as the starter before season's end. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Sorry, to clarify, that response was to the original post of this thread, and the sentiment that folks are out buying beers and celebrating. Quote Link to comment
