I do not remember seeing Watson playing last night? Kidding. I was not especially thrilled with some of his calls last night. I have to think that he was not either. I give him the benefit due to the production, the record, and the adversity of the season. For the last 5 games he has not known who his QB is going to be. I have to think they are not finalizing a game plan until they know who will be on the field. I will hold judgement on Watson being a failure the season that all things click and he is unable to have any production. He at least needs two more years to see what he is really made of or what he can do.he is frustrating to watch....Three losses by only 7, 3, and 3 points respectively. I would not say that Watson "out smarts" himself but rather "out confuses" himself because he has trouble figuring out what works. He hasn't shown to me the ability to grow or adapt. I'm done with him.
we did simply just get beat. the problem is that whenever we lose, youre pinning it all on watson. stop making excusesAll our losses the games were winnable if Watson just did something else. For some reason when we get behind or ahead Watson just messes it up. I would be happier if we simply got beat. For me no team was just simply better than us. They only won because we have a sh**ty OC. Seems we are winning more games but also getting worse. That's not gonna continue next year. I just hope Bo does something about in the off-season.
WTH are you talking about? Why is it so hard for you to understand that blowing a lead and having a team come back on you hurts worse than if you just lost it outright from the beginning and were never in it?This is just dumb. I have to assume anyone that would think this way was either in the band, a cheerleader, or played video games instead of actually playing sports. No way would you want to just be inferior vs needing to make small adjustments to win. Anyone who thinks this way should be Iowa State fans.Actually, yes. Getting outplayed by a team that is just hands down better than you is easier to swallow than several close losses where the team trips over itself. So instead of a close game where one fewer turnover could have made the difference between a championship or not you would rather just get beat. If I were Watson I would be running away from this fan base. All our losses the games were winnable if Watson just did something else. You think Alabama fans feel better about the fact that Auburn came back from like 21 points down to beat them at the end? The fact that their fans sat back and thought, "We've got this one in the bag!" only to see it dissolve right before their eyes?
I'd rather have a million-dollar prize go to someone else from the get go, rather than be told I won the money, call all my friends to celebrate, only to learn later that a mistake was made and that it must actually go to someone else.
Are you even human?
At least some good came out of that loss.I remember November 3, 2007 : Nebraska 39 - Kansas 76WTH are you talking about? That hurt worse than last night, by far! I NEVER want to be a team that's "not good enough to win." That's not Nebraska.
16 points away from an undefeated season.Three losses by only 7, 3, and 3 points respectively. I would not say that Watson "out smarts" himself but rather "out confuses" himself because he has trouble figuring out what works. He hasn't shown to me the ability to grow or adapt. I'm done with him.
Here is an example of what the brilliant Watson does. Run 60-80 yards to get downfield then throw 3 straight passes for a 3 and out. That genius right? Only he does this. Why are we late in the season continually have illegal formations called? do our offense coaches not stress this and false starts? Watson should have fixed this but didn't. Since he is the coordinator he is responsible for fixing this. If he can't then he better get on to someone who will. Even Bill Callahan didn't have this trouble. I'm not making excuses everything i have said has been done this season. I guess you are content huh? great defense and an offense that shows up whenever it feels like it.we did simply just get beat. the problem is that whenever we lose, youre pinning it all on watson. stop making excusesAll our losses the games were winnable if Watson just did something else.
