That is amazing! It must be because UF is horrible and Mizzo has no QB...@HuskerExtraBR: Wow. A football game this Saturday between two ranked SEC teams is relegated to ESPN3 status. Florida-Mizzou.

I grew up going from Omaha to Lincoln with my parents every home game Saturday. They would drop me and my brothers off at my grandparents in mid-morning. They would drive down to the stadium to get a couple hours of tailgating. My brothers and I would have lunch with my grandma, listen to the game on the radio, and then played football (with these tiny plastic red footballs my grandma would get at the bank) until my parents would pick us up. I always loved seeing the billboard on I-80 just outside Omaha that showed the score of the game. By the time we got home, it would be dark but not "late". The next game, it was the same thing all over again. It seemed like the 1:30 kickoff was perfect for everyone. These games are 9 a.m. kickoff here on the West Coast, and I kinda love it.
I remember when every home game was a 1:30 CST kickoff. When was the last 1:30 game you guys remember?
It's usually the networks that set those games. For instance, any non-televised A&M games are set for a 6 PM Kickoff. That time is changed when they are picked up by a network to air. It's not really Nebraska's choice.I don't want to be "that guy" but, can't people start bugging the Big 10 and/or NU to get these lame game times stopped to some degree? I mean how about something like:
11am: two games
2:30pm: 4 games
Alternate times: 6 games
We know that the TV networks control the game times, but that's where the Big 10 needs to step in and say "Hey, ESPN, we don't want to have a ton of 11 AM kickoffs, we will just put our games on the BTN." Also, the conference could create a rule where the central time zone teams only play a certain number of 11 AM games. It's usually the networks that set those games. Dress in layers everyone!!!Minneapolis usually frigid in the morning. Like 30F my guess.
True but LSU has had one non night game in the past two years (home) I think, come on now! This is why NU has to step in. I would rather have NU on at 6pm on the BTN then freaking 11am on ESPNIt's usually the networks that set those games. For instance, any non-televised A&M games are set for a 6 PM Kickoff. I think it will be 50 for the high that day, from what it kind of looks like. Cool, crisp, sunny, hot girls...can't wait.Dress in layers everyone!!!Minneapolis usually frigid in the morning. Like 30F my guess.
They could, but I guess that goes back to the contract the B1G has with ESPN. Probably hard to get out of.We know that the TV networks control the game times, but that's where the Big 10 needs to step in and say "Hey, ESPN, we don't want to have a ton of 11 AM kickoffs, we will just put our games on the BTN." ESPN probably did, so you would be correct.I think Satan wrote it!They could, but I guess that goes back to the contract the B1G has with ESPN. This. I'm just glad I don't have to wait all day for the game to start. It's Minnesota. I didn't expect a better time slot to be honest.I actually like them. I get to watch the Huskers, then watch the other big games in the later time slots.
The Weather Channel shows a high of 50 and low of 36 for the 24th. That's as far out as it will go right now. By this Thursday it should be showing what it will be.I think it will be 50 for the high that day, from what it kind of looks like.
