We've run into yet another swoon here. The DR has tightened it up, USA now leads 22-20. Big 9-5 run here at the end by the Dominicans.

EDIT - and that's a wrap. Despite a game performance by the Dominicans, the US pulls it out, 25-22 in the third to win the match in three.

In women's basketball news, Team USA defeated Canada 91-48 amid what is being described as "stifling" defense, and the Americans move on to the Semifinals.

This means that Husker Chelsea Aubry's Olympics are over. The Canadian had ten points, one of only two Canadians to score in double figures against the US, in the loss.

 
Ross/Kessy going to a third set with number 1 team, Brazil! Could be an all USA gold medal game in women's sand volleyball. Could make up for the dissappointing mens sand volleyball tournament for USA.

 
USA leading 6-5 in the third.

Remember, third games are played to 15. Win by two.
