Hmmm....that's interesting. I would actually prefer to have someone replace Castro at second for defense. I wonder if Baez can do that once rosters expand.

Baez is a better defender than Castro, especially when you consider that baez had been playing second at Iowa longer than Starlin had in Chicago. The push is at the plate. Both are very high swing and miss hitters.

 
If Baez would just realize he doesn't have to swing out of his shoes every time.

Good lord...Pat Hughes and Ron coomer were called morning that he actually fell down swinging for a strike today and it was at a crucial point with men on base.

 
2 games so far. Runs scored up to this point. (w 2 innings left in the 2nd game)

Well the Cardinals are in free-fall mode right now. Lost 2 of 3 to Pittsburgh and Chicago at home and just lost 11-0 to the Reds. Time to get some things figured out or were gonna be playing in the Wild Card game.

 
Make that 2-8 for the Cards in their last 10 and 3 in a row to the Reds. Going to be an interesting September in the NL Central now.

 
Cubs are guaranteed a winning record, 99% chance of making playoffs, and a decent sh#t at the division.

It's been a good season. Just need to finish strong.

 
I about broke down and cried last night. I had to mow the lawn (yes, in the dark). So, I had my head phones on listening to the game. When I came in, all my family was watching the game. My wife hadn't even done dishes yet because she didn't want to miss any of the game.

It's a good season when that happens.

BTW....great game.

 
Big 3 game series opens at Wrigley today. Cards finally starting to get things figured out. Hopefully they can find a way to take 2 of 3 from the Cubbies and lengthen their lead in the division even more.

While I say that i'm not at all confident it will happen. Cubs are hot right now.
