2024-25 Polls and Rankings

After winning the Diamond Head Classic Nebraska is at 39 in Ken Pom, 34 at Bart Torvik, 38 in ESPN's BPI.  Evan Miya hasn't been updated with yesterday's games yet, but they were 48 & Oregon St was at 71, so probably not a big help to beat them (3-5 places is my guess).

 
The rankings are fluid week to week.  Looking at our big ten schedule, we will have several games that get us to go up or down.  

UCLA, Oregon, Michigan, Maryland will be big movers as we play them.  I posted the Husker B1G sched in another thread.  It's going to be a fun, yet challenging season for sure.

 
  • Projected record 20-11 (10-10)
  • Win @ Creighton came with Jays at full strength, hopefully Creighton still makes Tournament otherwise that win unfortunately wont get nearly the respect it deserves
  • #216 NCSOS is ok, but not great either
  • Diamond Head Classic was good to help boost resume metrics (26.0 avg) even though I dont think any of those 3 teams make NCAAT
  • Projected favorite in just 6 of remaining 18 Big Ten games is unnerving
  • 13 of remaining 18 Big Ten games are Quad 1 Target record for bid: 20-11 (10-10)

Wow...only projected favorite in 6 of last 18 with 13 of them being quad 1?

The rest of the season is going to be tough, but it's going to be fun if we can be good and competitive.
