Well, if this is the case, we are going to feel different at the end of January than now.

So, they are predicting our first home loss is going to be against #8 Illinois. Ok, I can see that. But, I think we will steal at least one in the road. I think we start that on Tuesday against Iowa.

I think Fred overcompensated toward positional size over athleticism & shooting. I get that they were had trouble with being out rebounded last year, but most of the time it didn't seem like it was height so much as quickness/athleticism.
If he's back for the 25/26 season, he will have to go back to the drawing board. Maybe there will be some more NIL money since they don't have to pay as many football players & he can convince a point guard who can shoot AND run the offense.
Gary, Morgan, Meah, Ulis, Williams & Worster are out of eligibility. I wouldn't be surprised to see Griffiths leave since he's not getting any PT. That leaves Essegian, Hoiberg & Buyuktencel as rotation players that can come back. Mast has said he's going to come back, but who knows if he really wants a 7th year of college. There is also Frager & Janowski who are redshirting.
Assuming Fred wants to use all 13 scholarships there are at most 5 or 6 players coming back. They signed one player in the November signing period so they will be looking for at least 6 new players and probably more. It will be a drastically different team next year (again).
