** 2024 Opponent Preview : Colorado (Game 2) **

I had a slap tear in my right shoulder. My arm was in a sling for 8 weeks and I had almost 4 months of physical therapy after that. I also had a partial Labrum tear and a partial rotator cuff tear. My surgery was 12 years ago and sometimes the injury still bothers me.
Well that's not what I want to hear! The surgery actually took twice as long as expected because there was more damage than anticipated, including some hanging cartilage from a "previous traumatic injury" that I didn't even know about. I'm only supposed to be in the sling now in week two for "comfort", and my post-op appointment is tomorrow. Then the PT begins again, fun!

Colorado is going to be a fun team to hate this year.

Still, it's going to be a difficult game for Nebraska. Colorado is a bad football team, but they're still going to have the two best players on the field in Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, two players that can exploit Nebraska's biggest weakness - the secondary.

Going to be a fun, close game in Lincoln.
And they will throw the ball to Hunter 15+ times a game.

I want a Miami 2014 crowd.
"Under the lights" ...... ?

630pm...

1st weekend in September...

Nebraska rocking that extra hour of sunlight and hot Summer weather....

The sun going down  915-930ish....

With plenty of natural sunshine for 3 quarters easily.... And pregame and tailgating too

But it will be super cool if they flick on the stadium lights just cuz....  :)

Not sure how it is now but those lights don't just turn on like your lights at home.  They tend to "warm up" a bit.  Those lights will be one, probably at kickoff.

The sun sets in Lincoln at 7:48pm on Sept. 7. The lights will be on for the entire game since the field will be in shadow even at kickoff due to the west stands/press box.

I doubt Memorial Stadium has those old lights still. Modern LED lights are instant on. They might still be turned on by kickoff to help light some shadowed areas though.
Yeah, you are probably right.

I do think they will be on right away.

Yes, I would think we have LED since they shut them off at night games after the 3rd quarter.

Hopefully this is the one "dominate the other team in a night game" that we have seen the last handful of years.

2019 Northern Illinois 44-8

2021 Northwestern 56-7

2022 Indiana 35-21

2023 Northern Illinois 35-11
