Getting a home start will definitely help avoid some of the struggles of past years, but this is a deceptive schedule in my eyes.

I think we have 4 opponents coming off of their bye. Rutgers is tougher than I think given credit for, and I think people are grossly underestimating USC. Defenses with access to talent can turn around overnight.

So in the ultimate counting your chicks before they hatch question category:

If we start 7-0 as many think we are capable of doing, will that get us into the top 25 or even top 20?

If that happened, we would be top 15-20 for sure.  A lot depends on where everyone else sits at that point.  If there are only 10 undefeated teams by that point, we would be top 10 I suspect.

They play at USC, have FSU at home, and start at aTm who is currently a 1 point favorite which is interesting.
So ND just lost their starting LT and I think their RT, i think.

So that line just moved yesterday to AM being favored.

ND will be favored in all their other games.  I think they are -5 vs FSU right now.
