Can you quickly assemble a top notch OL in time to convince a portal QB he'll have plenty of time to throw the ball?

I don't think the problem is the funds, playing for an elite program also has value. I would guess we were prepared to offer some of the Indiana commits more money, but the guys Indiana wants are not leaving Bloomington without committing. They are getting enough money and being able to play for what would seem to be the best coaching staff in the game right now to not bother listening to higher dollar offers at worse programs.

True and this is where the lack of success the past 3 years by Rhule is now hurting recruiting. Players want to play for winners and not career .500 coaches. This is why starting over with someone new at least offers some hope for potential recruits.

While its nice to get one OL, we need a whole lot of additions to be competitive in 2026, moreso on the defensive side as well.

how good is this one? top 20 lineman in the portal? all big 12 type? better than we have now?

I like the pickup mainly due to the number of starts he has at the power conference level. But, I wish it was an OT instead of IOL. Hopefully we have a couple of those coming.

have to wait and see. the portal is still young and we have at least 3 quality players so far. that is more than many other schools so far

We do not have any schedule visits set up for the running back room and while some will say running backs are a dime a dozen but I'm a little worried that we are going to miss out on the upper echelon running backs out there. We can offer playing time and money but we don't really have much success to show we are going to make you better other than EJ.

Do you look at the lists of the players available in the portal, and the rankings, and the visitor list? Just curious.

I don't feel very confident about recruiting of the DL in the portal. And we lose Davis. There is still time but the pickings are going to get slim. Feels like this could be another Gabe Moore/Jaylen George year (barf). This is without a doubt the more important position group in the offseason.

We better pray we get Lockett/Crowder.

You’re not wrong about the need but Butler was the 65th ranked DL in the portal. White was 88th.

The portals been open 3 days. Most players are still in it. There’s a long way to go.
