if we look for a new starter....i think TJ might just leave also. he has to be thinking right now this is his job. and no idea what davila might be thinking about the whole situation.

If NU brings in someone better than TJ for a year, and TJ leaves cause he doesn’t wanna wait a year then so be it.

There is no more "waiting a year for the kid to be ready", they will not stay in the majority of cases until year 3. Either give TJ the job or you have to find someone else.

And teams need to evaluate and constantly look for someone better to come in. There are multiple portal QB’s in the portal better than TJ is right now and NU would be doing a huge disservice by not trying to improve that position.

I 100% agree, I was just commenting on the notion that TJ might wait around after someone else was brought in to start. That I don't think is going to happen, but I would be looking for the best option possible every year of course. Rhule needs wins in 2026 or things get uncomfortable quickly.

TJ is probably not good enough to rely on. If he leaves then he leaves. Matt would be gambling.

This where I'm at. If they get an improvement over TJ, then fine. But I'd like to see the lines immensely improved before worrying about bettering the QB spot.

If he wins the competition with a top level transfer, the narrative changes. I think TJ has the potential to be a really good QB. Was a damn tough spot he got put in last year.
