Pete Nakos from on3 is saying that Nebraska is the favorite to land Makhi Frazier running back from Michigan State. I can't honestly remember the last great home run speed back that Nebraska has truly had.

I know Im not thrilled by any means let alone being the favorites to land guys from Michigan State. Did well against Michigan. 14/107 7.8 per carry. Against us 18/58 3.2 per carry. Indy he was 7/1 at .01/carry. Loan TD's came against Western Michigan and Youngstown State and he was 12/22 and 1.8 per carry against YSU...Tried to cherry pick the high/low and against Nebraska.
Numbers don't really jump out as a great get. I'd rather dump money into the trenches and tell Barthel this is is last year to try and develop a RB room. Listed as RB coach/Director of Football Evaluation. As a recruiter 247 has him for 2026 as 66th best recruiter in the B1G and currently 11 for 2027. 2025 he was 113th in the B1G, 2024 was 122 and 2023 was 93. And if not for Dana, EJ was gone last year.

Am I remembering correctly? Wasnt Wingo interested in Nebraska before he committed to Texas?
He did visit once, so there was at least some interest. We were definitely after him, including a late push by Raiola after he flipped to us.

I don't think Wingo looks at us no matter what - productive guys from schools like Texas are probably transferring to Georgia or Ohio State.

You'd be correct. The only potential reason would be it is closer to home. And even then Missouri is a better program.

This isn’t directed at you, but we are rumored to be in the running for the MSU QB and RB. MSU finished 1-8 in the Big 10 at the bottom with Purdue. Both of these guys may be leaving bc Fitz said thanks but no thanks. They both may be great players, but it is easier to get excited for OL from Notre Dame and Alabama (both were impact guys once Pritchett figured it out).

You don't get excited for these guys bc Michigan State you would say is in a worse position than Nebraska and bc both of them didn't produce much at their previous schools we as Nebraska fans are hesitant to be accepting of them coming here.
