I know some fans on other Husker sites are not happy about this, probably because they are old farts.
Good question!I'll take the bait. Why is black so much "cooler" than red? Great if players and fans think its fun to do something different. I just don't understand the fascination with black.
Good chance it could be 6:30pm...that would be about perfect.Rhule said that while they don't know, they're anticipating USC being a night game and that was part of what informed the alternate being a blackout. Specifically mentioned black as a mid-day/afternoon game being the least enjoyable scenario.
I bet you can't find a single player in the nation making his school decision based on trivial stuff like alternate jerseys. However, anything driving views to our social media and websites, like alternates, is good and is part of the smoke and mirrors of today's marketing. If we can get fan buy in, it will probably be pretty awesome.I know some fans love the idea of "These kids should be honored to play for NU...I would play for free and blah blah blah"
And that is awesome, it is...but recruiting is a sales job and sales creates the most millionaires and the most unemployed people.
So as a salesman you better Texasing find ways to get customers.
Do you NEED to do different unis? No, probably not, does it hurt though? Probably not.
Totally agree!I bet you can't find a single player in the nation making his school decision based on trivial stuff like alternate jerseys. I hope they can get some vendors carrying cheap black shirts outside the stadium for this. You know 1/3rd of our aging fan base will be caught off guard if the only advertising is done on social media. I know some of you will respond with they should be provided but obstacles like shirt size, weather, etc make that really hard. It would also cost 500k even if the shirts were only $5 or $6.
