How many wins should be enough for Rhule to retain his job? I expected 9 this season given the easy schedule.
My expectation was 9 wins as well, considering the schedule we had.How many wins should be enough for Rhule to retain his job? I expected 9 this season given the easy schedule.
Based on what they're doing to Purdue, it's doubtful.Northwestern is the team left that they might beat.
The biggest issue I have is that this is teetering in the brink of disaster for this program, all while facing one of the easiest schedules in the conference. My expectation was 9 wins as well, considering the schedule we had.
Now? I'm not sure if I see another win this season. Who are we realistically going to beat with this team and coaching staff?
If we miss a bowl I think Rhule should be fired. If you're not improving by year 3 then it's not gonna happen. He's a career .500 coach who's never going to deliver the goods here.
NU is pretty much only relevant because of the fan base. That is pretty much about it.Based on what they're doing to Purdue, it's doubtful.

Then we're going to have to endure another year or two of losing with significantly more difficult schedules before we inevitably move on from Rhule. The writing is on the wall, all that's left is to live through it now.
Nebraska football is a harmless zombie at this point. It's already dead, but it's moving around and going through the motions while not showing any signs of life.
I picked 6 to start the season. Looking pretty good right now.
