Adams

Benard

Starter
word is he is getting 30 to 40 % of the snaps this week and will play later on in game if we get a decent lead.

Are you sure?? If so, that would be great because right now, i'm not liking our qb situation. I think if Adams can get healthy, he'll be starter by the end of the year.

Thats the word my reliable source is telling me.

Interesting. I would like to see what this kind brings to the table. I read he actually has experience in a WCO.

I hope that he plays. He should get a couple of series in the second quarter that way we can see what he has when the game really matters. But wait, it will probally be close the whole game so every snap will matter.

Quarterback Adams ‘still has ways to go'
Quarterback Jordan Adams has been practicing with the scout team, but remains a long way from being ready for game action, Nebraska head coach Bill Callahan said Thursday.

"He's worked quite a bit," Callahan said. "We're trying to get him in the mix a little more, so we've increased his reps."

Adams, a junior college transfer, has played OK, Callahan said.

"He still has a long ways to go," the coach said. "He's making progress in some areas. In other areas, he needs to show more. It's not as fast as we would like right now. We're patient."

Callahan didn't want to venture a guess as to when Adams might return to full speed. The Californian underwent surgery to remove his spleen on Aug. 28.

It doesn't surprise me that he has a ways to go. Having an organ removed is no picnic!
