Akron: What did we learn?

  • We have a couple of good second string options on offense…our QB and RBs looked decent…
  • Akron will be looking for a new coach at the end of the season. They’re *REALLY* bad…
  • …and yet our defensive line still had problems stopping the run for the second week in a row. That’s very problematic for a run-heavy B1G that we’re looking at.
  • Never heard so much want for a punt…Archie is a good lad and good on folks taking care of his family while they’re here.

That game meant diddly squat and we showed a lot of the same weaknesses as week 1 but the opponent was so bad it didn’t matter. But we scored 68 and they didn’t score. That was the worst FBS team I’ve ever seen.

This game was about execution, plain and simple. We executed in all facets of the game. Had some explosive plays. Defense looked good against an inferior opponent as it should. Some bright spots at from the young guys. Mozee, Big Kade, Lateef. Enjoyed watching us beat the snot out of an opponent. I’m glad we hired Matt Rhule.

Light Show was amazing. We had a good showing for recruits too.

GBR 🌽☠️🎈

BTW, if you’re watching games tonight, we should probably be worried about Michigan State more than Michigan at this point, especially since they have a running QB and decent running game.

Michigan looks like a .500 program this year. Oklahoma is not that great.
Any physical run based team is going to wear down our defense and having a running qb has giving us fits bc it doesn't seem like we play a spy on him.
