I love Nebraska, but you have to admit that Pete is the best coach in college football. Callahan can recruit well, but he's just not very good at calling plays. Callahan does his homework and comes into games with a solid plan, but eventually the opponent adjusts and from that point on, Callahan is screwed. He cannot adjust his gameplan to work. That's why with every single game I just have to sit there and pray that we are far enough ahead of the opponent at halftime to hold out a win by the end of the fourth quarter. If Callahan is losing at halftime, just turn off the TV- you don't want to see what happens next.I expect less out of Callahan because he's simply just not that good of a coach. I also expect to lose to USC because come on, with their talent and their coach which is one of the best in CFB makes it pretty hard to win. I'm not saying its impossible, just unlikely. I really hope that we have a breakout year but I'm not expecting it. It'll probably be similar to last year. Except we might try this time against USC.
I've lowered my expectations. I used to hope for 11-2 seasons with an outside chance that we could win a national championship if we got lucky. Now I hope for 10-4 seasons with an outside chance that we could win a Big XII championship if we get lucky.
