Maybe he believes playing at this weight isn't his best playing weight and wants to slim down and actually be a defensive end instead of being a defensive tackle.

Would’ve been 3 DL coaches in 3 years for him. No development. We haven’t done diddly. Quite honestly he was being wasted. Can’t say that I blame him. Didn’t make a lot of sense.

He is young & was playing for piss poor def coaches. I think we are losing a good player regardless what you think!

Meh. If he was solid he would have shown some things. He didn’t do much to stand out. If he feels he can do better somewhere else, see ya. Someone is probably giving him poor information and can get him more money…

I do not want to be like Colorado & replace the whole team. The portal is for filling holes!

Th DL was/is a gaping hole…they need guys that can actually stop the run and keep LBs clean. Scheme and coaching probably played a role, but the players play and the DL was not good this year.

Scheme played a huge role. We were also young & undersized. A big run stopper in the middle would have helped. Don't get me wrong we D lineman, but I believe we have players on the roster that will thrive in a 4-3.

Averaging 3 tackles a game and 1.5 sacks on the season hopefully we can get that kind of production out of the portal.
