I am personally not a fan of Wittingham bringing the Poly pipeline to UM.

why? a 6-3 295 IOL is kind of what everyone is looking for.

A backup at Nebraska to a backup at Michigan is an upgrade. Thought he would go to a smaller school.

There are going to be lots of walk-on types and some scholarship guys alike that will either retire or step away from football. We will also have a large departure post spring. Do not need to get under that roster count right now.

According to ChatGPT, rosters have to be cut down to 105 before the first game. I’m guessing spring will have the guys who didn’t see the field and didn’t try/ didn’t find a new home in January. Then they can into the portal in May. Or quit. Or through the summer- not sure why anyone would do this though.

Can a school add guys just for the spring? Like a tryout?

We can be over 105 for a few more years. Everyone who was on the roster last year can be grandfathered in.

I’m thinking some guys returning from the portal may not have found homes and want to stay through spring and summer to try to make the 105. Kind of sucks for them to not to have the 2nd portal. I’m guessing the only place to go would be down a division at that point?

I do remember that now. They can go down a division or more though
