Ask the good doctor...

Come to think of it, why to people have an appendix to begin with?
Your appendix is a storage place for bacteria. Your body requires bacteria to help digest the food you eat. When you have an illness, like diarrhea or some gut-busting malady, your intestines can get flushed of good bacteria. The appendix stores that bacteria to replenish what you've lost.
No wonder Ive had diarrhea since my appendix ruptured in 8th grade. Its like Niagara Falls coming out of my a$$ on a daily basis...
That... um, you should get that checked out.
Wow, great advice. Just took a solid poop. This thread is great!
One more piece of advice, take some midol and change your playtex regularly
Haha just joking with ya man. My appendix did rupture in eighth grade, but I don't have uncontrollable diarrhea.
Well, other than of the mouth (keyboard) at times...
Dr, what would you prescribe for this?
Porn, lots of porn.
A ball gag might be in order...
Well, that wouldn't prevent me from typing. Perhaps a Chinese finger trap instead?

Porn will keep your hands plenty busy. Trust me, I'm a doctor

As a nurse, do you routinely post passive aggressive articles on Facebook about how unappreciated and thankless your job is?

(Kidding . . . but a pretty high proportion of nurses that I'm FB friends with do the above.)

I believe it. Most nurses on my facebook do the same. My thanks is my paycheck, and discontinued pain medications.

Weekend love advice from the good (love) doctor: Ingest 12 beers, preferably pabst blue ribbon. If you begin to feel tired then drink 12 red bulls, if that is too much follow up with 12 Tylenol PM's. After doing this make sure you drunk dial/text/facebook your most recent ex.

Trust me, it works everytime!

I spent Saturday afternoon cutting a pickup load of firewood, hauling it up out of the woods, splitting it, and stacking it. Sunday my back muscles were aching to the point where I could barely walk. But after a couple or three glasses of whiskey my back felt MUCH better. Also, I like to have a couple glasses of whiskey while watching sports on TV. Or really, while watching anything on TV. And I generally have a glass or two in the evening to relax and unwind. Anyway, my medical question is: What is the current wait time on liver transplants these days?

You just described my Sunday. Done the exact same thing.

Speaking of having muscle soreness...I consider myself in pretty good shape as I routinely workout 3-4x a week. It never fails that whenever I cut and split wood, I hurt like no other. Just doesn't make sense.

Do you split it with a maul like this? I think that's what does me in. It's just so fun I always overdo it. Using muscles I don't generally use and all.

US: 2-3 years

Canada: 1-2 years

Mexico: Today, (Caution: it may not be a liver that is transplanted and you might wake up missing several other organs. But it makes for one hell of a story when you're drinking in a bar)
