From what I've seen he hasn't officially retired from the NBA yet.  Cool idea, but seems very unlikely.

Lol, two things.

First, it was spurred by the tweet from Gabby U that his playing days could be over but hopefully not. Second, it was 75% joke. Third, it was an early morning post before I had my coffee.

I think this will be an outside the box hire...I think he goes hard after a "dirty" AAU coach, he has nothing to lose at this point...go make a nice offer to a guy that can funnel players to your program.

Maybe we just do 1 year guest celebrity assistant coaches. Get some wow factor for recruits to be able to rub elbows with former stars. Let’s turn this thing into a PR gimmick

Yeah, it's typically only a 1 year gig anyways, just bring in random stars to coach for a year.
