Benard Thomas: Dream a big dream

The field goal posts are probably twice as wide or something stupid like that.
actually they're exactly the same. according to sportsknowhow.com, NCAA, NFL and CFL goal posts are "10 feet high and 18 feet, 6 inches wide".

the CFL certainly can't compare to the general talent level in the NFL. not even close. but as for kickers? in the CFL its the exact SAME thing, down to the inch. only maybe a little colder. and the end zones are something like 20 yards deep.

I would love to find a concrete reason for Sandro's amazing improvement in his post-Husker career but a difference goal post width ain't it.

That seems like the only way they could get Sandro to make a field goal in my opinion.
for now, my guess is still that Canadian weather. maybe it just wasn't cold enough for him in Lincoln ;)

as for Benard. if he has a chance in the AFL he'll have to learn an offensive position in their ironman system. maybe fullback?

I consider the CFL a step down from college football personally.
How is this considering most of the players are D-1 guys that couldn't make it in the NFL.

Maybe Sandro was on the Juice while at NU and got to big to kick. :thumbs

He's loud, he's proud, and the Jacksonville media has noticed. this is the second article on Benard since training camp began- at least that i've seen. needless to say, such attention is rare for an undrafted rookie. but, as we know, if Benard is anything, he's noticable (unless its during a game).

Undrafted rookie makes no apologies for his lofty goals

"My lifetime goal is to get that yellow jacket [at the Hall of Fame in Canton] one day,'' he said.
A lot of people are scared to be great or to say what they feel. That's not me. I'm going to tell you how it is. People lie because the truth hurts.
Telling people "how it is" would mean that you actually play ON THE FIELD, like you SAY you do, right. hey, "the truth hurts".

ok ok, backhand comments aside, here's hopin' Crunk Juice can back up his mouth in the Big League. even if his own history is against him.

Bernard better keep his mouth shut. We all know his track record when it comes to talking to the media and making promises and i quote

"I will break the Nebraska sack record"

Sadly enough, he left school and didn't even crack the top 5. Everyone knows he likes to talk alot but doesn't have what it takes to back it up. Thank god he's gone from the team. He was a MAJOR cancer on the defense

Top 5?!? did he even break the top 105? or 205? i wouldn't be surprised if we've had a few cornerbacks or safeties that had more sacks than he did.

Benard Thomas cut by the Jags, but picked up by the Falcons. Hopefully, Crunk Juice has a nice car to live in, 'cause I just don't see him making it past the practice squad.
