Black would suck...black doesn't show blood, mud or grass stains and other manly vestiges of battle. How would you know who was playing hard with no blood or grass stains on the uniforms?

Of course on the other hand, blck uniforms wouldn't hide the fact that nobody on this defense is playing hard

I have no problem with changing the design of the uniform as long as it remains red and white and the helmet NEVER EVER changes.

I will never understand why people cannot see that Nebraska does not need to invent its own tradition or invest in crappy gimmicks. It has never worked. See the Nebraska "alma mater" song circa 1996-2001. Or perhaps the abortion of a tunnel walk this year. Hell, the school just canned the athletic director who want to change up tradition.
