@JoshHarveyScout 1m Eichorst: "We very much look forward to our upcoming bowl game and Coach Pelini continuing to lead our program in the future." #Huskers
I guess we're okay with all the empty seats and lack of excitement from our fans. Yippee. Congrats guys, we are officially Iowa.
bo dared them to fire him, and they folded. #unbolievable.

Hey, they beat us. I guess that's not too bad.
I'm glad guys like you have such high expectations for our program.

Good one.

how can anyone be happy with a coach that hates his fans, acts like a petulant child whenever the chips are down, and has not progressed the program at all since his second year. we are not only worse, our competition has been a joke.

I think the answer is, they are younger fans that don't realize that things can (and have been) better. They forget we had 35 years of success prior to Callahan showing up.

Exactly. He hasn't progressed the program since his second year. A perfect reason to fire him after he went 10-4 in his third season. No progression, no satisfaction!

If you think that I don't realize that things can and were better, think again.

For the people voting 'somewhat unlikely', please explain why you feel this way.
I voted somewhat unlikely because I looked at it how I thought Eichorst might look at it. $7 mil is a lot of money and he is responsible for that as AD. And we can minimize 9+ wins all we want to, but it's a fairly big deal and I'm confident that the coaching community believes it's a big deal. I simply think from an ADs point of view that change brings heavy cost and risk when Pelini is getting some of his earlier mistakes on track. That's my opinion.

He's been our Johnny Ringo all this time.
It would appear that the strain was more than he could bear.

Why Johnny Ringo, you look like somebody just walked over your grave.

My fights not with you Holliday.

I beg to differ sir. We started a game we never got to finish. "Play for Blood", remember?

Oh that. I was just foolin' about.

I wasn't.

That settles it, all the Tombstone references around here lately, I'm definitely watching that today.

As for Bo, I voted not likely since I had the benefit of seeing Eichorsts comment before I voted.

Beanman, I think there is definitely something to that theory. The defeatist attitude certainly seems to surround the younger bunch.

it really should not though. if you watch the games, you can clearly see the team on the field is under-performing. and if you watch the B1G, there is no reason we should not be able to compete every year. we should never have more then 2 losses in B1G play. not the way it is right now.
