Cincinnati Week Pressers

Rhule admitted that getting after the officials during games hadn’t “quite worked out for us” over the past two seasons. While he’s still going to stand up for his team, Rhule has considered taking a different approach when talking with the refs.

I say it every year, I hope QB2 gets a series or 2. More if we're comfortably ahead. I realize DR needs a lot more game reps at this stage but I'd like to see that we have a backup that's ready to play as well.

I posted earlier that this was the guy they need to be an animal and I glad to see he is listed as the starter. Sometimes coaches and fans make such a big deal out of "nothing", like one guy will say something, "Well, he just needs to listen to what the coaches are telling him"

All of a sudden the lame fans think the kid is a bad kid with an attitude problem.

Then those labels stick and the kid is ruined (Sort of what they are doing to the tackle that transferred from Bama)

Just let the Texasing good dudes play, sometimes maybe it is the coaching style and coaching attitude that causes issues.

If you can't find a spot for a 6'7 260 DE freak...you might be the problem.
Agree 100%. I hate it when people label the "bad attitude", "soft", or "he just doesn't want it" on players. We had an athlete that was a 3rd stringers for us, but he was a freak athlete that had never played sports. Good kid, wanted to be good, just really raw and wasn't as developed as a football player as he was physically. Kid got an Alabama offer the following year before he really became a full time starter purely on potential he exhibited at a summer camp. Kid ended up developing as a football player too and being pretty good. It was not that he was an attitude problem, just needed some seasoning on the gridiron. Once it clicks, watch out

Not sure if he would be there if Pyle didn't get hurt.

Right. But I'm more interested if he's listed at Guard because he's a Guard (as opposed to a tackle) or if he's listed there because he's our next best OL so he would slide in to Guard if needed even though he's a tackle.

RVP with a single digit jersey but #2 on depth chart?

Not having a single OR at RB is interesting, and somewhat reassuring? Not too long ago it sounded like everyone behind Emmett was an OR.

Same with QB, not too long ago it sounded like Gramstad was #2, so probably a good sign that Lateef is developing well.

I dunno if I buy what Rhule said about Pritchett. From what I heard, it sounds like he did get into some trouble, but it was a fairly minor infraction. I think Rhule is just trying to control the narrative and not end up painting Pritchett as a bad kid or anything. He won't be starting week 1, but I bet he does pretty soon.
