He does look awful when he has to scramble, slow reallyI'd still like to see a little more opportunistic rushing from Dylan, and a little less untouched stumbling and falling in the open field.

Part of that is because he is lumped with Arch, "Nuss", Klubnik and Leavitt as the top guys in the NFL draft (assuming Arch leaves) next year. Arch is going to have to play better to stay in that group.Meanwhile SC qb Sellers stats against Va Tech:
12/19 209 yds 1 td 0 int Comp 63%
13 carries for 25 yds 1 td
“Superhuman” “Houdini” were some of the terms used by media about his performance
Is Dylan getting those same accolades with that stat line vs what he did @ Cincy instead?
33/42 243 yds 2 td 0 int Comp 78%
4 carries for -1 yds 0 td
I don’t even think he can work on it either-or with any expectation to get better. There’s just no skill there. Not just physically slow, but mentally too.He does look awful when he has to scramble, slow really
No way a kid can improve from 1 game in on his sophomore year...smh. Seriously, listen to yourself.I don’t even think he can work on it either-or with any expectation to get better. There’s just no skill there. Not just physically slow, but mentally too.
There’s physically slow, like Mahomes. But when PM decides to go- he goes. DR will not take an open field and an easy 5-7 yards with sliding room. You can see it in his body language. It really limits a threat the defense has to worry about.
Running? Seriously, do you have eyes?No way a kid can improve from 1 game in on his sophomore year...smh. Seriously, listen to yourself.
Did you think he was going to come out of the off season running like one of the Martinez qbs from the past?Running? Seriously, do you have eyes?
He made zero improvement from the entirety of last year and he had the entire spring and summer with Holgo. In all the great things he could be, a scrambler is not one of them.

I hope he does improve his running instincts and I think he will. But there were at least two times last year where he executed a hook slide a good yard or two short of an easily attainable first down, and then jumped up like he got it. The untouched stumble and fall against Cincy was a bad look, too. Glad Dylan is our quarterback but smarter feet will make the offense better, and pro style QBs know how and when to tuck and run. Kinda silly to think we can't mention this.
Go back and read krc's message I originally quoted. No problem mentioning it imo. His message was basically stating that he wasn't capable of even improvement.I hope he does improve his running instincts and I think he will.
