DB Coach Prospects

More importantly to me than husker ties or former husker DBs is the new coaches ability to recruit!!!! Gotta sell themselves to high schoolers and their parents/high school coaches. Now I get that former husker NFL players have things to sell to the high school dreamers but gimme someone with coaching experience and ties to high schools in talent rich areas.

DB coach mean defensive backs coach, not douche bags coach. There, now that is clarified maybe some will stray away from this thread. I think some people thought they were applying for a job here.

I would love a Ron Zook hire. Great recruiter, tons of experience. Put him up in the box along with Coach Kaz. Zook would be great feeding info down to the sideline. He's seen it all. Put Els on the sideline to do ST coordinating.

Well if you read the Raymond thread they my thoughts on this were in there before this thread was up. Sorry, I don't continually shove my thoughts on everyone repetitively in thread after thread. Yes that is a hint to multiple people.

The reason that Bill Belichick is coming to speak at Nebraska is actually to make his pitch to Bo Pelini for the vacant DB coaching position.

33-4 as a HS coach in Concord, NC. Coached at Johnson C Smith in Charlotte, NC. 10 yrs starting safey for the Panthers, all pro etc..... Has ties to ACC country (plus for NU ie Clowney, Latimore, #1 rated QB or RB from Raleigh that went to UGA). Guy would be a big splash hire for sure. Character guy for sure. Hope it happens.
