Eh. I mean we’ve seen first hand what happens when a more mobile QB is thrown into an anemic pro style offense. Sure Patterson is a dynamic talent, but the problems with Michigan’s offense run deeper than QB IMO.
I hope you are right. From what I saw of Michigan last year, their QBs were terrible. I was looking forward to our new defense pressuring the Michigan QBs into throwing interceptions, but this new QB seems to be a big improvement.

Michigan did make several coaching changes, and obviously Patterson is intriguing, but is Harbaugh still the ultimate issue with that offense?

Michigan is gonna see at least 1 QB transfer since QBs nowadays don't like to sit around and wait to start.

Shea Patterson Jr .9982 5*

Brandon Peters RSo .9864 4*

Dylan McCaffery RFr .9435 4*

Celebration worthy. Defense needs all the help it can get and he provides some much needed competition and depth.

Is he a projected starter? I didn't really pay attention to him during the spring game or the practice reports.

Great news! I would think he would have major value in coverage too. Probably a bigger asset against some of the uptempo opponents we face rather than the grinders like Wisconsin and Iowa.
Good point about his value in coverage. He was a safety at Ole Miss, so he is used to being in coverage. My guess is that he will be a hybrid backer who blitzes some times and stays out in coverage at times. His amount of PT will also depend on the opponent, like you mention.
