Although Coach Pelini had some plans for Drake to see action this season, he ran into some health issues that became frustrating and lost quite a bit of weight and strength. He has now recovered most of it, yet he was pretty adamant about getting a fresh start in a new school. Not much a parent can do at that point

Best of luck to Drake wherever he goes. I was super excited to see him in the secondary with the speed he had. Definitely sucks to lose him, but it seems like he wasn't going to get much playtime anyway...

I disagree. I appreciate all the hard work and dedication that Taylor gave to this program and looked forward to Drake's contributions. I was happy to see him join the program and welcomed him. It is unfortunate that it didn't work out. I don't know the details, but I wish him the best in the future.

 
I am still shocked Drake ever came here. All the "rumors" I heard were that Taylor told Drake not to come here...

Obviously those must have been fake.

Athletic family, but this isnt really a big loss... Probably wants to go somewhere and get some sort of playing time.

I think you would have to really look to find someone who didn't appreciate what Taylor tried to give to the program. But at this point I bet the Martinez family and the program want away from each other.

I probably should have said the "Casey Martinez era" had to end IMO. No issue with the kids. I think the kids biggest problem may be Casey.
