Roughly 80% of QBs enter the portal at least once. This whole we need players that want to be here is complete and utter BS. Get over it. College football is about money and always has been for the upper tier players. It's just in the open now.

Regarding DR, I think it's interesting that our coaching staff came out and said they preferred a mobile QB. Maybe to justify not paying DR as much of he ends up staying? Feels a bit like negotiation strategies... millions are on the line so us fans should expect that i guess.

He was silent and he made the coaches and his teammates stay quiet while they fielded the tough questions and rumors. Dylan quietly entered his name into the portal. Like a coward. Like someone afraid to answer the tough questions, including competition at QB. The pressure was on and he got sacked in this case, again.

We are not privy to any details or communication between him and the university. I would welcome him back. He hadn’t hurt my feeling at all.

So what your saying is that if you were a starting qb and the offense that they surrounded you with has been a struggle you wouldn't at least take a look at your options just to see if there potential could be a better offense for you to play in at the end of the season while being hurt???? I think you be dumb not to at least look. I mean that with no disrespect towards you. Dont be surprised if TJ decides to do that next season with Trae coming in as long as he stays committed.

They are justifying. There is money & there are players who think they are better than they are. He is not worth the money he got last year. You can laugh, but not all player are driven by money.

As a former D1 athlete, I can tell you it's absolute work. I loved it but it wouldn't have made sense without the perks and the potential to go pro later. I would have changed teams if it I benefited me. Players change year to year, coaches change frequently, fans don't really care about you unless you are winning. Of course the team element is there but the reality is most are doing it for personal betterment.
 
I think most fans are miffed because we take it as disrespect towards NU. The past 10+ years have been brutal as a fan. And now a 5* legacy might pop smoke, it stings. And makes the program look bad. None of the comments related to Noonan....

It's a legit business now. Im sure most on the board, if not all have tried for a promotion (more money), a new job (money, support, location), same company, but different city/state, etc.. I have never left a current position as an FU to previous job. Now me leaving because I felt disrespected? Not supported? No opportunities? Yes.

Dude's chasing a better opportunity. Real or imagined. Focus on TJ and the portal.

DR has been groomed to play QB and maximize his value his whole life. It’s not a matter of believing it or not. It’s ridiculous to think a girlfriend is going to have any bearing on what he does or where he goes. There are 7 figure numbers and a future being considered.

He gone. It’s pretty clear NU is no longer going to cater to the Raiola family. Hopefully he gets a decent deal somewhere cuz he won’t be back. And I’m okay with that. Spend that money reinforcing the trenches and making the team better. There will always be new flashy skill players to waste money on…and then they’ll leave too, until the base of the team is good enough to make them want to stay.
