Dylan Raiola

raiola has lived up to the hype, but you have to think he could have gotten rid of the ball on a couple of those sacks.
He could have but if he had that mentality to throw it away quickly, many of his positive plays would be erased. He improvised plenty yesterday and turned blown plays into completions several times. QB1 is the furthest thing from our problem right now. That said, I think we need to get more aggressive with designed runs for him. 3-4 a game would change some of the way defenses play against us.

I think Raiola has progressed well from last year. He certainly is a student of the game and can deliver the ball to our playmakers. I hope we can shore up our pass pro a little better as it's hard to imagine our O Line getting a lot better in opening holes for the RBs.

what’s ridiculous about it? He gets happy feet at the whiff of pressure. O line was garbage but a few of those sacks were DRs fault. This offense still makes things look way tougher than most other competent offenses. No issue getting yards but when it comes to key 3rd downs or red zone execution we’re still subpar

And yet you wasted a few seconds to chime in. Carry on mate!

We get it man, it’s 2025 and there’s 2 constants in husker football- us pissing games away largely from our own ineptitude and the husker board contrarian admin mavric trying to pick a fight with anybody and everybody. Once again a response by you with absolutely nothing of substance and an indirect negative comment. Glad to see this board much like our abysmal football team hasn’t changed one bit!!!

You forgot one other constant. The large number of unreasonable fans like you that only show up on boards to b!^@h and complain when it turns out we aren't as good as the 95 team. Not that you will agree, but Dylan is the best passing QB this school has ever had. You may not like him, but the numbers don't lie. Of course he isn't perfect yet but I'm sure glad we have him rather than some of the over hyped QBs that were touted to be better.

Ok, here's some substance: He went 30/41, which is 73%. Against a really good defense. That's really good.

He threw for 3 touchdowns, and passed for 308 yards.

You can choose to pick out the bad things that happened, and others can choose to see the glass as half full.

Also, our run/pass ratio was right about where you'd want to see it at around 57/43. We were playing from 10 points down and had to throw a bit more.

But can we also talk about how relatively ineffective our run game was? That certainly wasn't on Raiola. Even taking out sack yardage from the stats, we ran for 3.83 yards per carry.

Fair, I’ve been harsh on DR. It was prolly gameday frustrations watching posters fawn over the guy as we were down most of the game and seemingly not care that we lost. It would be really nice if DR and his uncle were not a package deal- it’s abundantly clear our o line coach is unfit to be a coach at a program with the expectations our fan base carries. No million dollar transfers can fix poor coaching and development

Oh, and then one other thing. The over/under for the game that I kept seeing was 47.5. The final score was 30-27.

So just using some simple deduction this then means that we scored roughly 7-10 5-6* more points than Vegas thought we would.

Our fans should give a lot of credit to Michigan's defense and also quite a bit of credit to our offense for putting up 351 yards and 27 points, IMO.

Then add to the fact that we missed a field goal, as well.
