Dylan Raiola

He threw for less than 50% mostly to pretty wide open receivers. He was not good at throwing the ball.

The reality is that Dylan is definitely the best thrower of the ball we've had maybe ever, but at least since Zac Taylor/Joe Ganz, and probably the best quarterback we've had since Taylor Martinez' junior year. It's confusing but typical that our fanbase generally shits all over our most talented quarterbacks, and has such a cozy warm mythology about the more mediocre ones.

I was questioning that you called those QBs bad. I guess I'll take a bad national title game QB over one with higher completion percentage.

From a draftability stand point that's the absolute best place he could land.
I think he would be better served in either the Big 12 or ACC where there are more pass-first coaches and defenses that spread the field. Although the Oregon schedule is more opportunity to showcase against top level programs, the Louisville schedule is an open door for gaudy stats and a playoff run with the right personnel around him.

Oregon Schedule vs. Louisville Schedule

I have no idea, I juat don't hear alot about big NIL deals in regard to lineman...particularly OL...I am just saying Nebraska sh I uld market the crap outta that.
i don't know how we compared to other teams last fall...but didn't we get 2 of our starters from the portal this year?

We got guys in the portal, that is not my point...I am saying we make it known we pay top dollar for the best of the best (lineman), whether portal or HS...flip it upside down, schools throw $ at skill players when at the end of the day...none of that functions if your line sucks

Give me a Joe Ganz with an awesome OL and good wr and rb...you are going to be solid

If NIL was not a thing I feel fan reaction would be a little more subdued. Fact is he made a couple million while his family had a stranglehold on the program direction for 2 years and the moment Rhule puts a little bit of "hold on a sec" he suddenly needs a "fresh start"... I wish the guy best of luck wherever he goes but the juice was not worth the next 2 year squeeze imo.

Take the saved $ and go get top notch O and D line, you get that and Lateef will be just fine next year on O and D will ALWAYS be solid if you have studs up front
It really was fun though when he decommitted from Georgia. Gave us a lot talk nationally . Too bad Rhule couldn’t get him a better line to operate behind. This is all on Rhule. He talked enough to get a 5* in the door and the crap the bed l.

Honest question:

What do we know of the “stranglehold” on the program? Or that Dominic had any say. Or that that Donovan and Dominic had blah blah blah.
Personally I can only assume Dylan has been trained since his youth and they put him in the best places succeed. How does that translate to making an entire D1 program be what they wanted and then leave 2yrs later?

I know football politics and all of that but….im not surprised, not one single bit, that Dylan is transferring. Not one bit. But how did his family really or truly affect his time here or his ultimate reason to transfer? They all transfer and they all move around now a days.
Why is this any more important than any other top 20QB transfer? Bye.

Falls on Rhule. The man really believes he can manifest good things through positive talk and good vibes. He should have had a toe dipped in reality. This ain’t Disney world.
It doesn't fall on Rhule.. "Reality" is the very act of getting Dylan here was dependent on Donavan staying.. period.. work through it bro...
