Economy

For instance, I have raw materials I use that are ONLY made in China.  There isn't another source in the world.
Which raw material would that be?

nd competing with me. They are already getting around tariffs with the finished goods by falsely claiming different countries as country of origin.

So...to summarize, my ingredients are currently getting a 20% tariff which I had to pass on to my customers.  If that goes to 70%, my customers are going to get another price increase.  Meanwhile, the imported products (that really are manufactured by the Chinese) gets no tariff.
Why can’t our government call China out on their falsities and fix that clerical issue?

I mean we can tax/tariff the bejeezuz out of stuff coming from China if the only goal is to hurt them, make us less reliant on them and move it to friendlier countries. But that doesn’t really explain how it helps our economy…or relations. It sounds good from 80,000 feet up but on the ground it just costs the US consumer more in the end.

IDK, maybe we could have actual trade talks and deals that actually benefit both countries and doesn’t further alienate China.  :dunno  Seems to me it would be better to at least try that before giving them the big FU.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have trade deals that benefit both parties equally!

I don't know the exact part that is the problem.  It's several steps in the food chain away from me.  The domestic manufacturer, imports a product from China that is only made there.  They import it, then use it to produce a process aid for manufacturing plastics.  we buy the process aid.

Our industry is currently working on that.  However, the chinese are like organized crime.  They are always one step ahead.

m up 84% on it. Game on.
That’s awesome.  Hoping it hits $175 at the open.  This is my buy and keep slowly adding stock in my portfolio.  I really thinks it’s gonna have a CMG growth portfolio.

If it ever goes public, my next one is Dave’s Hot Chicken.  But I think they may end up doing the chick fil a model and stay private.

We have a spot available in town for a fast food restaurant. I’d love for a CAVA to do it. But, they aren’t in Nebraska and probably not in small towns even though it’s right on the interstate.

don’t think I’ve been to a Dave’s.

Investing in restaurants is risky.
