Economy

I’m old enough to remember when republicans acted like they cared about voting for people with morals and actually valued education, science and real experts.

I’m also old enough to remember being told Presidents don’t affect inflation
I mean, a President unilaterally imposing tariffs is inflationary and he's 100% at fault.

A President coming into power as the global economy opened after a year of limited economic spending is much different, but I understand that your level of partisanship requires you to conflate them.

Personally, I look forward to the Trump 25% -at a minimum- tariffs on goods. The American people are getting what they deserve - a level of super massive stupidity that represents them. They deserve what's coming and I feel zero compassion for what they're likely to endure.

I’m old enough to remember when republicans thought inflation was horrible and a reason to vote against someone.

While I'm 100% on board with the American people suffering the consequences of their vote, I do think it's important for Democrats to reform

They're likely to do well in the midterms and if Trump follows through with these Tariffs, Democrats likely win in 2028. But they still need to reform and become actually good at governance.

Winning elections because Trump and the people around him are just massive morons isn't enough. Democrats still need to do better.
