Fine with me.  But at the same time allow me to invest 1/3 to 1/2 OF THE MONEY I PUT IN into my own S&P retirement savings account while we are making changes.   Maybe then, people won’t be living on $1,700 a month in SS payments. 
 

Good thing that isn’t being proposed.   
 

I haven’t disagreed with this when it’s previously been talked about.   Wasteful spending happens is every department of government so we can start everywhere.

depends...if a rumor starts up that tariffs are being paused or reversed on some countries the market will bounce back in a hurry.   at least until trump confirms that there is no tariff relief anywhere.

My view hasn’t changed.  I was ok with targeted tariffs, even with some true reciprocal tariffs as I don’t see why a country can slap a tariff on our goods but we need to allow theirs into our country free and clear.  And with trade deficits, the sheer size of the size kinda makes it impossible for us to not have deficits with many/most countries.   The size of the deficit wanted could be debated.

The point isn’t the difference between your preference of certain targeted tariffs and Trump’s wild across the board ones. The point is, his complete lack of ever choosing the best and brightest while claiming he does. Claiming he knows what he’s doing while constantly proving he doesn’t. He’s had thousands of capable govt employees fired or forced out while he and his band of idiots completely fúck this country.  And your view has been….we’ll see if it works, maybe his way will take some time, if it doesn’t work he and the party will pay the price in coming elections. The problems are much more serious than elections and partisanship.
 

What on earth would it take for you to realize the magnitude of our Trump/maga problem and to stop supporting and defending this madness? Disagreeing with little differences here and there just isn’t near good enough. Trump doesn’t allow even minor dissent in his ranks. If you question him at all, on anything, you get fired and replaced with a better bootlicker. Why won’t you treat him the way he would treat you?

What the f#&% other view do want?   I literally said I don’t think the way he is doing tariffs is the way to go.  I literally said if he would have just focused on immigration and debt reduction, fraud and waste, the country would be happy.  
 

Do you want me to protest on the streets everyday?   Do you want me to do the “hands off” thingy.   I will be watching to see how this all turns out for the longer run ( not good so far) and vote accordingly in 2026, 2028.  If it stays s#!tty or only gets back to where we were after 2/4 years, I will vote for the other side for the first time ever in Senate race is Jerry doesn’t push back and House race (except for Governor race which I have already crossed the aisle on before) 

Just an fyi….Problems are usually only fixed by elections OR election pressure.

I answered this above.   And as far as him treating me…..until 6 weeks ago, I  did very well under first Trump Admin.

I don’t need to do better, and I don’t care whether you think what I said is weak or not.   If it isn’t fixed and better than what we had, I’ll vote for a Dem Senator in 2026 (I already have a Dem House member) and a Dem President in 2028 (unless it’s Ron as the Republican nominee).   If that doesn’t suffice for you, then that’s a you problem not a me problem.  Cause I ain’t gonna go out and trash Tesla’s or protest with a bunch of far left loons.   Too much baseball to watch at the moment.
