One of the things that totally baffles me about today’s Republican Party. They hate education. And…..oh the horror of foreign students. :facepalm:

Don't underestimate the information bubble these people are living in. My elderly mother only gets information from Fox News and whatever right-wing Russian disinformation my dad can dredge up, print, and hand to her. The same sources we see on this board. She would 100% believe everything Burchett said in that clip.
I try not to bring up politics with either of them because it does no good and both are in their twilight years. But every now and then I can see my mom waivering in her MAGA commitment but by the next day she's fully immersed in the tribalism again. It's infuriating and depressing. I'll always carry with me the fact that my parents helped usher in the demise of democracy and the rise of the authoritarian state.

I know this hurts a bit, but we (educators that went to school for this) just want you morons out of our jobs.
So, If you did not go to college to be a teacher, just shut the f#&% up about education.
That is it, super easy, super simple. I know we have posters here that hate that but you need to just deal with it. Just like I don't tell you how to do your job. SHUT THE f#&% UP.
I would never tell @JJ Husker how to run his metal food business or @Guy Chamberlin How to run is consulting superintendent job or tell @BigRedBuster how to run is central nebraska lumber yard??? (I have no idea what you do)

This does not include firemen. We all know that water puts out fires.

I see this, too. The wavering. Maybe the libs have a point this time. Maybe Trump really has gone too far.
I also see a 24/48 hour lag time where the right wing messaging machine huddles up and finds a new narrative that both absolves and champions Trump, along with an archival example of a Democrat saying something hypocritical.
That cures the wavering. Everyone is back on track.
