Rooney To Miss Champions League Clash With Valencia

Manchester United have confirmed Wayne Rooney has been left out of the Champions League squad to face Valencia due to an ankle injury. Rooney was withdrawn from Sunday's 2-2 draw with Bolton after sustaining a knock to his ankle.

 
Juventus Want Ajax Star Luis Suarez

Italian newspaper Tuttosport is reporting Juventus are in the market for a striker and could decide to make a move for the Uruguay international in the January transfer window. The forward's current contract with Ajax runs until the summer of 2013.

 
Arjen Robben Uncertain Of Return Date

Injured Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has revealed that he has little idea of when he will be able to return to action. "I cannot say whether it will take four weeks, or two or three months," he told Bild.

Robben injured his hamstring in the last international friendly leading up to the World Cup. Upon returning to Bayern, it was revealed that he had a five-centimeter tear in the muscle he injured before the tournament.

Angel Di Maria's substitution in the 73rd minute for Lass paid huge dividends for Jose Mourinho as Di Maria broke the stalemate in the 81st minute to give Los Blancos the win. Auxerre's defense was superb the whole night, with the exception of Ozil's cross into the penalty box, finding a wide open Di Maria who controlled it with his chest and shot it in awkwardly past the keeper who was shielded by his own man.
