Mourinho To Rest First Team Stars For Champions League Visit Of Auxerre

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has rested a number of first team stars for Wednesday night's Champions League clash with Auxerre.

Los Blancos have already secured qualification for the knockout stages as group winners, and Mourinho will take the opportunity to give a number of his regulars a night off.

Iker Casillas, Xabi Alonso, Sergio Ramos, Angel Di Maria and Sami Khedira have all been omitted from his 18-man squad, while Gonzalo Higuain, Fernando Gago, Kaka and Sergio Canales remain on the IR.
