Fiesta or Holiday

Yes, the Cotton will take OSU before NU.....According to today's Omaha paper, the local beat writer wrote that the Cotton has wanted OSU most of the season because of location.

The Cotton Bowl didn't even send reps to CU yesterday. They are concerned that NU fans will not travel to the same city twice in a month, especially if NU losses (? why they threw that in is beyond me).

They do think NU would show well because of all of the NU fans in Tex, but that those fans wouldn't fill local hotels and spend "out of town" $$

I have been to the Cotton bowl and beside the local strip clubs, there isn't a lot to do....especially for "families". The weather is usually cool/cold, which will not effect game, but does as far as vacationers.

The Cotton will take OSU, and if not the Fiesta, NU will be headed to sunny California......Bank on it !!!!! just my opinion of course.

cbs sports has "updated" projections.... has OSU in Cotton and NU vs USC in Holiday...

only "projections" on one site, so means nothing...but an interesting projection is Iowa State vs Auburn in Independence .... isn't Chizek at Auburn? Former coach vs former team?

Yep. Chizik's at Auburn. That'd be fun to watch.

I would love to play Stanford. They were the first team we played in a bowl game. Also, the best offensive player vs. the best defensive player.

IF we lose to UT and settle for the Holiday Bowl, then I'd like to play USC.

I wanna see Pelini beat his old employer Pete Carroll. Pelini was hired by Carroll in the late 90's at New England as a LB coach.

The Cotton Bowl will take NU! They have like 85,000 seats to sell and the fact is the Huskers travel and spend and that is what bowls are all about. Tonight Baylor and Tech did not sell it out and they all drive home after game just like OU will. Tonight 79,00 in attendance.
I dont think so. I think they choose Oklahoma State, even though they both have the same record in the conference and over all they will look at who lost to who and won to who. Therefore saying, both teams all beat Missouri Baylor and Colorado, BUT Okl St. beat Iowa State and Texas Tech we lost to both of those teams, although we beat Oklahoma and they got killed by OU, thats the only team both teams played and Nebraska beat, and the only other team that Oklahoma State lost to was Texas. Therefore I think the Cotton Bowl will pick Oklahoma State.

i think they might also factor in how we do against UT. but NU is usually a good grab for bowls (traveling fans) and they will take NU if they can, even if NU is not the most deserving.

If Nebraska and Alabama win, the bowls might be:

NCG: Alabama vs. TCU

Rose: Ohio St. vs. Oregon/Oregon St.

Orange: Texas vs. Georgia Tech/Clemson

Fiesta: Nebraska vs. Penn St.

Sugar: Florida vs. Cincinnati

Rose is locked with Pac 10 and Big 10. Orange gets ACC. Fiesta gets Big 12. Sugar gets first at-large pick and probably takes Tebow. Orange gets second pick and takes Texas. Fiesta gets third pick and would choose either Penn St. or Iowa or Boise. I don't think it's likely they take Iowa because the border war with two horrible offenses would not play well nationally. Nebraska-Penn St. or even Nebraska-Boise has more national appeal. I don't think they take Cinci because they had a horrible fan showing last year. Sugar gets stuck with Cinci. Penn St. had a huge game against MSU, so they are probably the favorite. Boise will certainly have a good case. Politics might be involved. It would be tough to see 12-0 #6 Boise left out over a 2-loss team from the worst BCS conference, but it might happen.
