Fire Foley. It’s past time.

If only our special teams were as resilient as Ed Foley. The man is Teflon. How does he still have a job? His incompetence far exceeds any other coach. Every day I wake up with the hope I hear he has been given the boot. He adds nothing of value. Might as well light the money on fire and roast some chestnuts.
well to be fair, the season isn't technically over yet.  Just because our DC left before championship games, doesn't mean we should be firing coaches yet.  At least wait until after the bowl season, like most teams do.

Do they really? Every one of ours who's left, left because someone else was fired already.

I think he meant after our bowl game. Free Shoes U's season was already over.
Do we really think that keeping Ed Foley for the bowl game is actually a plus? Personally, I think firing him before the bowl would actually help the team. Whoever replaces him even as interim will do a much better job. This guy has cost us at least 3 games this season if not more. We have the most dysfunctional ST in the nation. What positive can Ed Foley offer by drawing a salary? I would not hire him as water boy at this point.

We would probably be better off with a GA/other coaches taking ahold of special teams here tbh. Him and Satt can go. You have Josh Martin on staff here for TEs too.

Hey, it's been a while.  We forgot the team needs coaches for a bowl game...

Hope it's just a matter of waiting til after the bowl is over and not Rhule looking for any excuse to keep a guy that he goes back to the beginning with. We'd already have a winning season in-hand and be headed to a better bowl if Foley's units hadn't just missed on an easy 3pts, handed Iowa the ball on our 4 with an utter clusterf*** of a play, and screwed our field-position for the whole game.

I don't blame him too much for the muffed punt. IGC is back there to just catch the ball (probably at Rhule's request), and he didn't. I don't think Shavers had a way of knowing it hadn't been touched, he just has to come up with it. But everything else (including giving up a long punt return), yeah. It turns out our FG problem wasn't the kicker, great. How do we have 2 long snappers both with the yips? The only thing our ST was measurably good at was opponent FG percentage, and that seems like one of the things least dependent on a ST coordinator.

Why wouldn't you have a ST coach now that there are no limits? Doesn't make sense to add responsibilities when you can have someone cover an entire unit in their own.
