Forget Texas... Nebraska should have been in the Big 12 Championship

Our team has alot of momentum. We are starting to get recognition for improvement. Hopefully win the bowl and have 9 wins and a New years day bowl would be a tremendous success and give us a lot of momentum going into next season.

The only negative thing I see is that end of the season momentum won't replace our starting WR's, and QB next year. I am somewhat concerned about that.
:yeah

Someone will have to really step up next year at those positions, to maybe even equal this seasons record. It won't be easy, no matter how rosy those glasses look right now.

GBR!!!

I don't know if anyone can hang with OU right now. They are absolutely ridiculous when it comes to moving the ball and just putting up crazy numbers.

:steam

Mizzou clearly can't hang with OU and we were the hotter team at the end of the year, sure we lost head to head with Mizzou but OU lost head to head with Texas and it didn't seem to change much...

thought you were serious there for a second....asswhooping on nat. tv....lol...better them than us...wait, they did whoop us on nat. tv too....i'm rooting for OU to represent the b12 vs the gators

:)

Obviously I'm joking... I will let Mizzou take a good a$$ kicking from a good team any day :cheers

it was funny how they brought this up when interviewing the Big 12 Commissioner during the game

If nebraska beats clemson, and mizzouri performs mediocre or poorly in their bowl... with Suh, Henry, Holt, Kunalic, and the rest coming back.. I don't know how the pundits would not place Nebraska #1 in the big12 north next year.
Although I agree we will be a popular pick for the north next year, I doubt it will be because of 2 of our kickers... lol

Not on our 2 kickers alone, but special teams play a huge part of a game. Not to mention Helu will be the starting Iback, the Oline will probably take the biggest hit which could manhandle our running game without big experienced blockers up front. Who knows. I say we go 9-3 next year 10-4 after our bowl game and a loss in the Big12 title game against Texas or Oklaholma.

You OBVIOUSLY didn't read in the paper what the score was when the Huskers played OU. Missouri beat us, and with us being tied with them, they had every right to step up and take the beating. Nebraska would have fared no better than Missouri did...don't kid yourself, back away from the Kool Aid bowl.

Texas was out of the question because everyone knows that there is only one team from the North and one team from the South that meet for the championship.

The Southern division was clearly better this year than the Northern division, nothing can be done about that now. There were probably 4 teams in the southern division that could beat Missouri. There is a reason that there are certain tie breakers that they use to determine who plays for the Big 12 Championship.

OU is in a different world this year than anyone else in the NCAA. I think Florida will be getting more than they bargained for when they play.

The OP even stated he was obviously joking...

:bang Uh...maybe because we don't have an experienced QB coming back would be a good start? We have no idea what this offense may look like next season, nor do the pundits. For all we know ISU will be picked to win. I go back to what I have always said, pre-season predictions are like A$$holes, everyone has one, some are just better smelling than others... The South would be much easier to predict than what is going to happen in the North next season. The three top schools in the North are all losing their QB's. That in my book is going to leave it wide open for anyone to step up and take the division title...yes, even ISU.

FL, TX, USC are about the only ones. Bradford's like any other QB, if ya get in his face he starts messing up. Those teams could do that.

To be totally honest I think USC is probably the only team besides Texas that can play with OU, even though their record isn't the greatest. USC has the size on defense that it would take to get in Bradford's face.
