Forget Texas... Nebraska should have been in the Big 12 Championship

This OU team may be better than the 83 Nebraska team dubbed the Scoring Explosion.
OU is the first team to score 60 or more pts in 6 consecutive games....I think that would make them the best offensive team in NCAA history? Not sure about best overall, though. There have been a lot of really good teams, including Nebraska.

Forgive me if this has already been brought up but, NU & Texa$$ SHOULD have been in the big 12 champ game. I know its a memory none of us want brought up, but if we beat TT in OT, that takes them out of the tie for the big 12 south. & we end up w a better conf record than Mizzou & the south tie-breaker goes to Tex which beat OU head to head. I know, I know. Ifs ands & buts....

I say we go 9-3 next year 10-4 after our bowl game and a loss in the Big12 title game against Texas or Oklaholma.

When you guys make such predictions I wish you would STATE who the QB for the Huskers will be that are going to bring all these wins...I think it is pretty hard to predict anything until we even know what our offense will look like next year. With Watson interviewing elsewhere, that makes it even more up in the air. We are also losing Swift, who has been a huge part of our offense. If something happens to Helu, I haven't seen anyone besides Castille (who hasn't been THAT impressive) to take over at running back either.

Loss to MU next year? They are without Booger, and are basically in the same boat we are when it comes to QB, so I don't know how you can just throw that game to them already. Same goes for the game with KU for that matter.

Bottom line...it is just plain moronic to even begin to make predictions until at least after the Spring Game, if we even know then who the QB will be, or if Watson stays on, and if he don't, who replaces him.

I know all these predictions are in fun and all, but at least put a little thought into what is going on with our opponents teams as far as who is coming back for them also. KU and MU both face the possibility, as we do, of sliding to the bottom of the conference.

Our team has alot of momentum. We are starting to get recognition for improvement. Hopefully win the bowl and have 9 wins and a New years day bowl would be a tremendous success and give us a lot of momentum going into next season.

The only negative thing I see is that end of the season momentum won't replace our starting WR's, and QB next year. I am somewhat concerned about that.
We loose people every year that's what makes College Football so much better than the NFL.

To be totally honest I think USC is probably the only team besides Texas that can play with OU, even though their record isn't the greatest. USC has the size on defense that it would take to get in Bradford's face.
USC has the defense to do it, but they don't have the offense IMO to keep up with OU. Florida is going to have their hands full with these guys and I think if Texas played OU today, OU would smoke them.

Fixed for accuracy.

The order of teams for most PPG goes like this:

2008 OU

2006(??) Hawaii

1983 Nebraska

2005 Texas

And IIRC those are listed in the order of total points scored in the season. 700+ for OU, 650+ for both Hawaii and Nebraska, not sure how many for Texas.

Well here is my guess about the greatest team in history, they will lose to

Florida as they have in all their BCS games since Blakes players were there. The man can not handle major preasure, and I look for him to fold like has the last four.

For the Big 12 I would love for them to win, but for Stoops, I would love to see Florida pummel his arrogant a$$. I would love for Oklahoma to win, but I really do not like Stoops.

Florida 28 Oklahoma 21

On to Nebraska, I am not impressed about our New Years Bowl game, it will most likely be at the crack of dawn playing a team with a worse record than ours. It will do very little for us in recruiting or ranking. Much rather seen the Alamo or Holiday.

If we win it will be a break even deal. We lose it will really suck.

I think FL takes OU also. Tebow is the big difference, he's like their Tommie Frazier: a GREAT leader.

Plus, I just think Bradford can be rattled pretty easily if the D can penetrate OU's O-line, which FL will be able to do.

FL probably has more overall team speed, they're just as tough and strong. But Tebow is the difference maker.

From what I have heard of Urban Meyer...he's about the most arrogant coach in college football. Plus it's better for college football to have OU strong.

Also, I'm looking at some polls on ESPN. The question: "Which team has the biggest BCS gripe?" The only state that thinks Texas Tech got the raw deal is Oklahoma. I find that hilarious.

Also, also: NU/UT in title game next year.

ESPN's current poll shows FL beating OU too.

I'd like to think there's a bit of media bias on that one, although Oklahoma has been in the National Spotlight a-plenty this year...
Well, I think nationally your average person is just more familiar with FL and Tebow cuz it's like a sexier school/state.

Most people can't locate OK on a map.

But personally, I think FL is alot like TX in that Tebow plays like Colt, can function well in adversity and can make plays with with his feet. Bradford does not function well under adversity, IMO, he has to be well protected.

hmmm... <_<

You recognize that it's just in fun...

And yet you require thought?

It's still 2008. predicting 2009 is just for fun, thought isn't required at this stage. pure guesses and opinions will do.
