kaz said before he was let go that if Stoltenberg wasn't an NFL draft pick then he didn't do his job. Pretty high praise for a d-line coach that has put guys in the league.I'd be VERY surprised if Stoltenberg didnt end up on the o-line. Right tackle i would guess.Freedom and stoltenberg could be forces at end. Could be some play making ends. We aren't deep but there is potential on our roster.

Don't forget about Keels; he didn't show much last year, obviously, but maybe the new staff can get something out of him this year. Kid had other solid offers, so maybe it was a product of not knowing the "scheme". EDIT: http://www.omaha.com/huskers/husker-notes-newcomer-joe-keels-says-things-finally-starting-to/article_272e5533-4af2-5d9f-8b57-4ac2a9796cdf.htmlOur DL is going to be pretty deep. DE's will be young but encouraging. Stolt and Newell are likely to stay outside.
What's the point to moving Newell back to a loaded DT position? It's our best position IMO. He has a chance to contribute this year at DE. If his skill set doesn't translate well to DE its the only reason to move him inside.

Newell could always slide back inside after a year at DE. Plus if we are benefitted with the problem of VV and Collins having that great of years, you could always go JUCO to plug a hole.I don't see the depth you see at DT. It looks good for 2015, but VV and Collins could both leave early for the NFL with standout years in 2015.
We have depth but a lot of young talent at DEOur DL is going to be pretty deep. DE's will be young but encouraging. Stolt and Newell are likely to stay outside.

Yup. Got him and keels confused and left him off all together. We have depth but a lot of young talent at DE Also do clarify Natter is a Sophomore not a SrOur DL is going to be pretty deep. DE's will be young but encouraging. Stolt and Newell are likely to stay outside.

I disagree. I don't see it being possible that they both go to the NFL early. Even if they do, we are still good, just no longer our strongest position. I think they will take 1-2 strong DT's again this year. Hopefully Rand is one of them.I don't see the depth you see at DT. It looks good for 2015, but VV and Collins could both leave early for the NFL with standout years in 2015.
Agree, but when he was on the field he just looked a lot slower than everyone else. You didn't see production stats out of Gangwish last year because he was not let loose. He was told to occupy the tackle and do nothing else 95% of the time
That info came straight from his mouth after the bowl game.
You guys don't believe it but he will start, and you will see the idiocy of the previous staff by not letting Gangwish loose.

It might be like watching an entirely different team out there when these guys are finally allowed to attack and get after it a bit. Maybe a few more guys look like the playmakers they actually are. I've beaten the issue to death about how much I think Bo's scheme limited playmaking, and that goes for defensive line, linebackers, and the secondary.
