This kills me. People want them to recruit in state kids so they go after two and then people aren't happy. I'm sure if they wouldn't of got the Martin kid or this guy people would be complaining as well. I don't get it.THREE less than stellar commits in a week.
yippee.

Excuse me, would someone point me to the post where I said we HAVE to recruit Nebraska kids? This kills me. People want them to recruit in state kids so they go after two and then people aren't happy. I can understand taking a chance on guys like West and Young, NU is deathly thin at those positions, and those guys supposedly have enough speed to play 1A ball. Speed kills, and there is a chance that they could develop and learn enough to become good players. The Martin kid baffles me. The guy is the size of a TE or DE, with the speed of a OG or DT. NU offers him but reportedly told A Claiborn that they would not offer him, even though he is a better much more highly rated prospect, especially at one of their deepest positions  . I dont get that. This kills me. People want them to recruit in state kids so they go after two and then people aren't happy. I thought that one of the Bullocks was a 3 or 4 :star player, as he was the Tenn. player of the year??As far as Corey Young and Anthony West go, they might be the future at the safety position for Nebraska. 5 years ago NU brought in a couple of 2 :star athletes to play safety and they turned out alright. Josh and Daniel Bullocks ring a bell, anyone?
Not that I disagree with you, but apparently pud did, isnt that why he made the coaching change??Frankly, who cares how many stars you have?
If thats the case, then the future doesnt look quite as bright for NU, unfortunately. If you plan to base your whole recruiting year off pulling in 4-5 star players consistently, you're for a world of trouble. We're not Florida, California or Texas where kids grow up dreaming of playing for us who are 4-5 star players.
I realize that :dumdum , I didnt take that quote out of context, its the same old story that NU has dealt with for the past 30 years. At some point, kids from FL, CA, and TX are not gonna want to come to a cold weather school, thousands of miles from home, to a small town in the middle of "nowhere" if they dont have to (for the most part). It has happened in the past, it will again.Great job taking the last quote out of context.
If you bothered brushing up on your comprehension skills you would know that I meant Nebraska has to recruit twice as hard as some of those schools who can pull kids so easily into their program. Those are the facts, but it doesn't mean they cannot do it. They proved that last year and to an extent, this year as well.
Et tu???Either you're a complete idiot, or you simply do not understand.
Wow willie, you just now noticed that? I been saying that for a while now that he takes sentences, breaks them up to fit his own needs and totally twists peoples words around. I am suprised it took you so long to notice thatGreat job taking the last quote out of context.
